What can be said except, if anybody wishes to view or handle those items prior to purchase be sure to do so anywhere other than an Australian camera store. Taking up time when you know you have no intention of local purchase is little different th...

There are both student ($199 Adobe rrp) and education ($565 Adobe rrp) versions. The student version is never to be used commercially, but I believe that it is acceptable to buy an upgrade when you wish to do so. The education version may or may n...

Doug replied to Christian Whamond's discussion 'NPS Australia' in the group Nikon
Please don't take this a criticism, it is meant to be food for thought. It appears you wish to punish Nikon. Instead you will end up; • Subsidising overseas Nikon customers and their support networks. • Financially supporting the company you are ...

Computer Advice

Many of our customers seem unaware that Photographic Wholesalers are able to offer sales and advice on Computers.

While we sell and recommend Apple products our staff use both Apple and Windows Hardware and can offer Hard Drives and other backup devices for sale.

A Windows machine is more than capable of acting as a photographic workhorse, but many of us will choose Apple for it's elegant virus free design, low power consumption, improved colour management capabilities, simpler networking and… Continue

Bag Choice

A recent discussion on another forum about insurance for a dropped lens actually highlighted the importance of choosing appropriate peripherals in the first place.

Hello Doug,
May i pick your brain for just a moment.
I have been asked by a friend to photograph at his mothers 50th in a few weeks. It will be in a dark room, I am wondering if I would need a external flash or would the flash on my Olympus e620 to suffient??
Also would there be any sort of setting to have while taking photos?
Your response will be greatly appreicated
Many Thanks

I have tried using both IE and Firefox. I am running Vista Home Premium on a Toshiba 2.1G laptop, and have the latest java installed.

Appreciate the help, as its frustrating to do them 4 at a time...lol

Thanks

Hi Doug, I did upload my photos 4-6 at a time, using the standard uploader.

I tried the bulk uploader but it just hangs after the javascript symbol appears.

Thanks
