Thanks for the encouragement. I'm loving these light trails as you are never quite sure what your going to get. Got myself a new torch that works a treat - but I could only take 7 shots before the batteries that came with it ran out! Aaaagh!!! Got some more today and also some rechargeables. Really excited to explore these now.

Went to Monarto Zoo last weekend, had a look at the Chimps. They are hopefully going to be let out into their outside enclosure in a couple of weeks. I have done a few panoramas lately, some OK, some not. Had an enlargement of the Kookaburra printed 20x16, now ned to frame it and find a wall to hang it on.

Re home sweet home, I think your depth of field is OK, just the bird has moved, similar to what I have experienced with these very active birds. It's a nice shot regardless.
ooh you lucky thing. its so warm you wont believe it. im saving for my next trip up there now. i really felt well up there no sore spots think the cold gets into the bones. now i know why all the golden oldies go up there for winter. are you going for holidays or work?
thats really cool, ive gor a few shots up here in queensland. fly in tonight to the cold weather yuk its been 30 degrees and more up here, yesterday i even ventured into the pacific ocean but it was pretty rough, im not much of a swimmer. ive been out riding nearly every morning on my daughters bike took the camera of course got a few shots. we went into a rainforrest early in the week got some red dragon flies after hiking through the forrest down to a creek, they look ok on the cameraq cant wait to download them
