Did you 'cut' out the picture of the boat and repositioned it in the Sunset ?
Or is this one of those composite pictures where you combine several images to make one ?
Bryce to do HDR you will need some software to tone map the photos.
You need to take between 3 to 9 photos of the same subject using a tripod. Set the white balance manually. Take each shot at the same aperture and alter the speed by one stop eit...

nice and colourful iv'e tried taking finches at the zoo some days they work out & others i get relfections from the wire, even when i zoom right through, but i never give up, my lion shots were taken through the wire and im happy with them
yes it is good i found it by accident but i think if you look at your comments page it will say you have a featured image, yours is one of the flying pelican by the way where do you go to shoot your finches etc.?
yes I will add some of my Italy photos next weekend when I get some free time. I also have sent this site to Tara my daughter who is living in Canada at the moment and hopefully she can add hers rather than me go onto facebook. She studied photography here before she left.
