Excellent action shot with great detail. Looks good full size. Sounds as though your desire to get 400 has sound reasoning, so you here you go, you have my permission. Go ahead :-)

Yes, you're right- I see that now I need to learn how to use grid lines.
I'm forever getting sloping angles. My little grand daughter is a treasure.I hope she'll never dye her hair !! But hey - when they're teenagers, you haven;t got much say - have you ? Yes, I'm getting better with the D5000 - but I am still nowhere near the level as some of the other photographers (example Di and Paula) that use point and shoots . I'm so passionate again though - which probably wouldn't have happened if I hadn't invested in an expensive camera. Hope to see you in the zoo ! ( would love to see what you really look like ! )

thankyou Tim!
Street Photography is an area of photography that I love - but am just not brave enough (yet) to get in really close to marginalised persons. It's very tough. I am a member of another online community (worldwide) and there are some photojournalist shots that literally bring tears to my eyes and take my breath away. Yes, you are right - we are extremely lucky to live in Australia, as hard as it may be for some, it is still a lucky country. Thankyou for taking the time to comment on my photos :))
